About

Food For Thought brings practical ways to incorporate more nourishing and tasty foods into your life.

What’s wrong with our food?
Food is meant to be enjoyed for the way it tastes and the way it nourishes our bodies. Our bodies are meant to be supported by eating nourishing foods.  I have observed that in today’s busy world, we have become disconnected with our innate ability to know what to eat and how to eat. We want food that is fast and convenient, but we don’t want “fast food”.   Some of us feel that we don’t have time to cook, let alone study about which foods we should be eating.  Many of us are experiencing illness, poor digestion, and a lack of energy. We are frustrated with our weight and our inability to think clearly.  The fact that most of our food is mass produced and processed simply complicates all matters.  Now we are dealing not only with unwanted ingredients, but we also need to question whether the nutrients in the food are present or absent, due to the many harmful ways that food is grown and processed.

How can I improve my health?
Improving your health starts with improving the way you eat.  Know that the more connected you become with your food; how it is grown, how it is cooked and also how it is eaten (slowly, with enjoyment!), the more connected you become with your own health and vitality.   Through eating real, whole foods, the body becomes nourished.  It is through this nourishment that a person can achieve previously unachievable goals. It becomes possible to have food cravings disappear and the body arrive at its’ natural weight.  Often, health conditions reverse themselves.  Energy and vitality can easily be restored.
